A New Era for Riffa Views International School’s Arabic Program
Riffa Views International School is proud to announce a new Arabic Leader and Program for the 2017-2018 school year.
Under the direction of a New Arabic Leader, Fuad Al Anzarouti who is a published author with over thirty years in the education sector, RVIS has set an ambitious goal to become the model of the region in terms of Arabic language development. Mr. Al Anazorouti has experience working as the Head of Arabic at Dubai College, Ministry of Education in the U.A.E., and International Schools in the region.
Riffa Views International School has always strived to merge Internationalism with the Bahraini culture. While providing a rigorous academic program through English language instruction, we at RVIS, value that each student develops their Arabic language skills through regular instruction during the school day. This supports the vision that the Arabic language reinforces the spirit, culture, and philosophy of the region.
A committee of teachers, students, and community members conducted a year long review of the Arabic program under the leadership of the Elementary Principal Jo Garrahy, to determine the effectiveness of the current program and to implement new elements to increase language acquisition. The review involved an analysis of student achievement, curriculum and resources, and professional development for teachers.
Based on this extensive review, RVIS has created a program that incorporates best-language learning practices and a rigorous curriculum that will enhance Arabic language learning for all students, whether they are native or non-native speakers.
It is the vision of this new RVIS Arabic program to produce students who are able to fluently and confidently communicate, read and write in Arabic at a level equal to or above other International schools in the region. This new program, under the leadership of Fuad Al Anzarouti, will ensure that RVIS remains a beacon of excellence for Bahrain and the region.
